This week's a big one for big tech earnings with Google parent Alphabet and Microsoft reporting on Tuesday, Meta on Wednesday, and Apple and Amazon on Thursday. Given the high percentage of tech giants' revenue coming from overseas, it's expected the strong dollar will be an issue in this quarter's results. Other notable reports come from consumer goods giants Coca-Cola and Unilever on Tuesday and the world's second biggest carmaker Volkswagen on Thursday.
On the economic front this week, all eyes will be on the Federal Reserve on Wednesday when the US central bank is due to give its latest interest rate announcement, with expectations for another 0.75% hike. There's also quarterly GDP data out from the US and the EU this week.
