It’s looking like a fairly quiet week for economic data and company earnings announcements, although there will be some notable initial public offerings (IPOs) hitting the stock market now that all those investment bankers are back from their summer vacations. Here are the key events we’ll be monitoring:
Tuesday US publishes inflation data, UK releases unemployment numbers, and Australia publishes business confidence survey. Sports data firm Sportradar due to start trading after its IPO. Earnings from JD Sports.
Wednesday China releases industrial production and retail sales data. Eurozone announces industrial production numbers. UK and Canada publish inflation data. Swiss shoe brand On Holding and Oregon coffee chain Dutch Bros due to start trading after IPOs. Earnings from Inditex.
Thursday US publishes retail sales data. Earnings from Ashtead and The Hut Group.
Friday US Michigan consumer sentiment data published. UK retail sales numbers released.
