It’ll be a moderately busy week for earnings – with US retailers particularly in focus. We’ll also get some key inflation data to give investors a clearer idea of exactly how fast the prices of goods are climbing at the moment. Here are the top events our analysts will be keeping tabs on.
Tuesday Japan releases economic growth data. UK publishes unemployment numbers. Earnings from Walmart, Home Depot, Baidu, Sea Ltd., and Vodafone.
Wednesday UK and Canada publish inflation data. Federal Reserve releases minutes of its last meeting. Squarespace to join the stock market in direct listing. Earnings from JD.com, Cisco, Target, Lowe’s, and Experian.
Thursday Oat milk brand Oatly joins the stock market in initial public offering. Earnings from Kohl’s and Applied Materials.
Friday Markit releases purchasing managers’ index (PMI) data for many economies around the world, including the US and eurozone. Japan publishes inflation data. Earnings from Richemont and Deere & Co.
