Earnings season starts to calm down this week after a hectic period. There are still some giant companies to report though – particularly in Europe – and a few pieces of economic data that might move the needle. Here are some of the key events we’ll be keeping an eye on.
Tuesday China releases inflation data. Germany releases ZEW index of economic confidence. Earnings from SoftBank, Palantir, FuboTV, Alstom, EON, Electronic Arts.
Wednesday US publishes inflation data. UK releases economic growth numbers. Earnings from Toyota, Allianz, Deutsche Telekom, Bayer, Commerzbank, Bumble.
Thursday Auction of 30-year Treasury bonds will give an indication of investors’ willingness to lend to the US government over the long term. Earnings from Alibaba, Disney, Coinbase, Airbnb, Xpeng, Petrobras.
Friday US releases retail sales data. Earnings from Foxconn, Honda.
