With US earnings season half-way done, it’s time for the big European and Asian companies to start weighing in too. Plus all eyes will be on Thursday’s US inflation data for signs of how rapidly the Federal Reserve might have to raise interest rates. Here are the top events we’ll be watching this week:
Tuesday UK publishes retail sales numbers. Australia releases consumer confidence data. Earnings from SoftBank, BP, Fiserv, America Movil, Bharti Airtel, KKR, Pfizer, Toyota, and many others.

Friday UK economic growth data and Michigan index of US consumer sentiment published. Earnings from Under Armour, Volvo Car, Cleveland-Cliffs, and Boliden.
