It’s looking like a fairly quiet week for scheduled financial news, as we slowly drift towards the end of the year. Friday’s US inflation data will probably be the most watched economic release, with economists predicting we could see a print well above 6%. Here are the major events we’ll be monitoring:
Tuesday China releases exports data and Germany publishes ZEW economic sentiment survey. Reserve Bank of Australia interest rate decision. Earnings from Autozone and Ashtead
Wednesday Bank of Canada and Reserve Bank of India announce interest rate decisions. Auction of 10-year US government bonds. Earnings from Brown-Forman, UiPath, Dollarama, and GameStop.
Thursday China releases inflation numbers. Cloud Software Provider HashiCorp and Brazilian digital bank Nu Holdings start trading in the US following their initial public offerings (IPOs). Auction of 30-year US government bonds. Volkswagen is due to publish a five-year investment plan. Earnings from Oracle, Costco, Broadcom, Lululemon, and Chewy.
Friday US publishes inflation data. UK releases economic growth numbers.
