It’s all about earnings this week. Loads of ‘em. We’ll have results from Tesla, Microsoft, Alphabet, Apple, Amazon, Alibaba, and Facebook – along with plenty of others. There’s also the small matter of a Federal Reserve (Fed) interest rate decision on Wednesday. Plenty for our Analysts to get their teeth stuck into. Here’s what we’ll be keeping an eye on. 

Monday Earnings from Tesla after the close of US trading. 

Tuesday Bank of Japan interest rate decision. Earnings from Microsoft, Alphabet, UPS, Starbucks, General Electric, Pinterest, AMD, BP, and Novartis

Wednesday Fed interest rate decision – they’ll hold rates steady, but investors will be looking for clues about how soon rates might rise in future. Earnings from Apple, Facebook, Spotify, Shopify, Boeing, Sony, Sanofi, GlaxoSmithKline, and Chinese spirits giant Kweichow Moutai

Thursday US releases first-quarter economic growth data. Earnings from Amazon, Samsung, Mastercard, NIO, Caterpillar, McDonald’s, Shell, Total, and Comcast.  

Friday Japan releases consumer confidence data. US releases personal income and personal spending data, which will be scrutinized for signs of inflation. Earnings from Alibaba, Exxon Mobil, Abbvie, Chevron, AstraZeneca.
